Author Guidelines

  • Two required files: Submit the completed official competition form in Microsoft Word format (.docx) and your project poster in PDF format (.pdf).

  • Official competition form: Download and complete the provided form; retain its structure and supply all required project and participant information.

  • Project description: Include an English description of no more than 200 words, explaining the object, intended users, design concept, ergonomics and aesthetic approach.

  • Consistent information: Use identical project titles and participant names in the competition form, poster and online submission.

  • Authors and advisors: Identify every project author accurately. Teams may include up to four eligible participants; academic supervisors must be credited separately.

  • Poster dimensions: Prepare your board in A3 landscape format: 420 mm wide × 297 mm high.

  • One-page submission: Submit only your completed poster board; exclude the sample’s instructional page and any additional presentation pages.

  • PDF format and size: Export the poster as a single PDF file of no more than 15 MB. JPG, PNG, PSD and PowerPoint files are not accepted as substitutes.

  • Choose one sample: Base your poster on one of the six official layouts, preserving the selected sample’s overall frame and designated content areas.

  • Fixed branding and layout: Keep the university branding, competition information, header, footer and designated identity areas in their original positions.

  • Additional content: You may add more figures, drawings, captions and text, provided they remain within the selected template’s frames and maintain a clear, readable composition.

  • Image boundaries: Keep every image and text element inside its assigned section, with a minimum 4 mm inset from the section border; avoid overlaps.

  • Image quality: Use images at 300 dpi at their final printed size, preserve their proportions and retain technical drawings as vectors wherever possible.

  • Text and language: Poster text may be English or Turkish. Follow the template’s typography and keep headings, captions, dimensions and body text readable at A3 size.

  • Design presentation: Show the complete object clearly and replace every sample image, placeholder, example caption and instructional note with your own project content.

  • Ergonomics and aesthetics: Explain the intended users, use scenario and relevant physical interaction, together with how form, colour, texture and materials support comfort and aesthetic quality.

  • Technical information: Include at least two technical views with principal dimensions and units, supported by relevant development sketches, materials, construction or assembly details.

  • Names and anonymous review: Keep participant names, institutions and advisor credits only in the designated identity fields; the organizer removes identifying information before jury evaluation.

  • Originality and honest presentation: Credit external sources, obtain necessary permissions and disclose AI assistance. Clearly distinguish renderings and generated visuals from real prototypes and testing evidence.

  • Online submission: Submit both final files through the official platform before the deadline. Register each project separately, check submission completion and retain your confirmation; email entries are not accepted.
